COLBERT ALLOYS PARK RECEIVES RC&D GRANT FOR WALKING TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS

tractor and compactorColbert County Commissioner Tommy Barnes has announced the purchase of a piece of specialty equipment to enhance the maintenance of walking trails at Colbert Alloys Park. The custom fabricated, roller / packer was designed and fabricated by Double D Pipeline Services, specifically for the compaction and maintenance of pedestrian walking trails within the park, which will allow for a denser, more stable walking surface requiring less routine maintenance.

Commissioner Barnes states; "We want to thank the RC&D Council for their support in improving our trails at Alloys, we are dedicated to the continued improvement of recreational facilities at Alloys for the benefit of our citizens and visitors and look forward to additional enhancements over the coming months."

Purchase of the equipment was made possible by a Grant from the Northwest Alabama RC&D Council.
